CBSE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP FOR SINGLE GIRL CHILD (CLASS X - 2023)

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the application process for a merit scholarship scheme for unmarried girls. A renewal portal of the board scheme has also been launched for the students who have received it in 2022. The last date to register on the official website cbse.gov.in is October 18.

To qualify for this, applicants must be an only child in the family. Must have passed 10th with 60% marks from a CBSE affiliated school and currently studying 11th from the same school.

Eligibility:

Should be the only girl in the family. Students should be studying in class 11th and 12th with not less than 50% marks in the first five subjects in CBSE affiliated schools. The monthly tuition fee in the 10th class should not exceed Rs.1500. Tuition fees for classes 11 and 12 may increase by 10 per cent. The tuition fee for children of ANRIs is fixed at Rs 5000 per month. CBSE scholarship is open to Indian citizens. Should be studying in affiliated schools.

Those who have secured not less than 50 percent marks in the 11th class examination and have been promoted to the 10th class are eligible to renew their previous year's scholarship. The applications submitted online till October 18 for the scholarship should be verified by the school authorities and the list of eligible candidates should be submitted to CBSE by October 25. Click on 'Single girl child scholarship X-2023 REG'
Click on the designated scholarship application link
On the new tab, select the type of application. New or renewal.
Now click on SGC-X Fresh Application or Update
Fill out the application form and upload the information
Submit the Single Girl Child Scholarship Application and download the form for future reference
Under the Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme, students will get Rs.500 per month. The monthly tuition fee shall not exceed Rs.1,500 per month in Class 10 and 10 percent increments in Class 11 and 12.
