Border Security Force Group-C Recruitment
The Border Security Force (BSF) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens (male and female) for the Group-C Non-Gazetted & Non-Ministerial Combatised posts of Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic). These vacancies, governed by the MHA and BSF Recruitment Rules-2018, are temporary but likely to become permanent in the BSF (Communication Set-up). Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad and will be governed by BSF rules and regulations. Applications are accepted only through the online mode via the official website. Salary Details
Pay Scale: ₹25,500 - ₹81,100 (Level-4 in the Pay Matrix) plus applicable allowances.
Age Limit
General (UR): 18 to 25 years (as of the closing date of online applications).
OBC: 18 to 28 years.
SC/ST: 18 to 30 years.
Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms

Educational Qualification
Head Constable (Radio Operator):
Option 1: Passed 12th Standard/Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least 60% aggregate marks.
Option 2: Matriculation with a two-year ITI certificate in relevant trades such as Radio & Television, Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, General Electronics, Data Preparation & Computer Software, or Data Entry Operator.
Head Constable (Radio Mechanic):
Option 1: Passed 12th Standard/Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least 60% aggregate marks.
Option 2: Matriculation with a two-year ITI certificate in relevant trades such as Electronics, Electrician, Fitter, Mechatronics, IT & Electronics System Maintenance, Communication Equipment Maintenance, Computer Hardware, Network Technician, or Data Entry Operator.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of three phases:
Phase I - Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Conducted using RFID technology. Candidates must qualify to proceed.
Phase II - Computer-Based Test (CBT): Conducted online in English and Hindi. Post-CBT, candidates can access their answer keys and raise objections if needed. Results of qualified candidates will be uploaded on the BSF portal, with notifications sent via SMS/email.
Phase III - Document Verification & Medical Tests: Includes document verification, dictation and paragraph reading tests (for Radio Operator candidates only), and Detailed/Review Medical Examination (DMR/RME). Final selection is based on a merit list prepared after all rounds.
