ഗൂഗിൾ മാപ്പിന് പകരമായി ‘മൂവ്'(move) ആപ്പ് അവതരിപ്പിച്ച്‌ കേന്ദ്രം. കേന്ദ്ര റോഡ് ഗതാഗത, ഹൈവേമന്ത്രാലയം (MoRTH), ഐ.ഐ.ടി മദ്രാസ്, ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ ടെക് കമ്ബനിയായ മാപ്‌മൈ ഇന്ത്യ എന്നിവര്‍സഹകരിച്ചാണ് മൂവ് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.മാപ് മൈ ഇന്ത്യ വികസിപ്പിച്ച സൗജന്യ ആപ്പ് പ്ലേസ്‌റ്റോറില്‍ ലഭ്യമാണ്. 2020ല്‍ നടത്തിയസര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ ആത്മനിര്‍ഭര്‍ ആപ്പ് ഇന്നൊവേഷന്‍ ചലഞ്ചില്‍ വിജയിച്ചാണ് മൂവ് ഔദ്യോഗികഅംഗീകാരം നേടിയത്
വഴികാണിക്കുകയും ഗതാഗത കുരുക്കുകള്‍ നേരത്തേ അറിയിക്കുകയും അപകടങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച്‌മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന സൗജന്യ നാവിഗേഷന്‍ ആപ്പാണ് മൂവ്. അപകട സാധ്യതയുള്ളമേഖലകള്‍, സ്പീഡ് ബ്രേക്കറുകള്‍, കൊടും വളവുകള്‍, കുഴികള്‍ എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ ശബ്ദവുംദൃശ്യപരവുമായ അലര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ നല്‍കാന്‍ ഈ ആപ്പ് പ്രാപ്തമാണ്. അപകടമേഖലകള്‍, സുരക്ഷിതമല്ലാത്ത പ്രദേശങ്ങള്‍, റോഡ്, ട്രാഫിക് പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ എന്നിവ മാപ്പുവഴി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യാന്‍പൗരന്മാര്‍ക്കും അധികാരികള്‍ക്കും സൗകര്യമുണ്ടായിരിക്കും.
ലോകബാങ്കിന്റെ ധനസഹായത്തോടെ മദ്രാസ് ഐ.ഐ.ടിയിലെ ഗവേഷകര്‍ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ഡാറ്റഅധിഷ്ഠിത റോഡ് സുരക്ഷാ മാതൃക കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം റോഡ് മന്ത്രാലയം അംഗീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഈഡേറ്റബേസും മൂവിന്റെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്തും.
32ലധികം സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളും കേന്ദ്ര ഭരണ പ്രദേശങ്ങളും റോഡുകള്‍ സുരക്ഷിതമാക്കാനുംഎമര്‍ജന്‍സി സര്‍വ്വീസ് മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താനും ഐഐടി വികസിപ്പിച്ച ഇന്റഗ്രേറ്റഡ് റോഡ് ആക്‌സിഡന്റ്ഡാറ്റാബേസ് (iRAD) മോഡല്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കും. 2030ഓടെ റോഡ് മരണനിരക്ക് 50 ശതമാനംകുറയ്ക്കുക എന്നതാണ് കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യം. ഇതിനുള്ള റോഡ് മാപ്പ് വികസിപ്പിക്കാന്‍സഹായിക്കുന്നതിന് വിവിധ സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാരുകളുമായി ഐഐടി സംഘം കരാറില്‍ഒപ്പുവച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
